Director of Business Transformation at Pupuk Indonesia, Panji Winanteya Ruky: Trial of New i-Pubers Feature to Enhance Efficiency & Accountability in Subsidized Fertilizer Distribution
Director of Business Transformation at PT Pupuk Indonesia (Persero), Panji Winanteya Ruky, stated that the company will continue to improve the smoothness of the subsidized fertilizer redemption process through the i-Pubers application. The company has conducted trials of a new feature or service on i-Pubers that allows retailer kiosks to place orders for subsidized fertilizers directly with distribution business operators.
“This feature enhancement aims to strengthen the distribution process of subsidized fertilizers to be faster, more efficient, and integrated, while also improving accountability,” explained Panji in Jakarta on Tuesday (June 10, 2025).
Panji further noted that Pupuk Indonesia has tested this new i-Pubers feature in two regions simultaneously: Madiun Regency in East Java and Central Lampung Regency in Lampung Province.
This initiative is part of a joint commitment between the government, through the Ministry of Agriculture, and Pupuk Indonesia to ensure the distribution of subsidized fertilizers is more targeted, effective, and sustainable.
“The government strongly supports the development of an integrated subsidized fertilizer information system, as the data collected can be used for farmer registration, allocation, billing, and distribution evaluation,” Panji said.
Panji also explained that i-Pubers is an application developed by the Ministry of Agriculture in collaboration with Pupuk Indonesia to help farmers redeem subsidized fertilizers at official kiosks more easily.
i-Pubers has been officially operational across all subsidized fertilizer kiosks in Indonesia since 2024. Farmers who are listed in the e-RDKK (Definitive Plan for Group Needs) can redeem subsidized fertilizers simply by bringing and showing their ID card (KTP).
Panji further reported that as of June 9, 2025, Pupuk Indonesia has distributed a total of 3.24 million tons of subsidized fertilizer. This includes 1.55 million tons of Urea, 1.57 million tons of NPK, 25.5 thousand tons of special-formula NPK, and 98.6 thousand tons of organic fertilizer.
Meanwhile, the national fertilizer stock currently stands at 2 million tons, consisting of 1.37 million tons of subsidized fertilizer and 680.8 thousand tons of non-subsidized fertilizer.
