PT Pupuk Indonesia (Persero) supports the "Jaksa Garda Desa" program initiated by the Attorney General’s Office of the Republic of Indonesia (Kejagung RI) by providing agricultural assistance in the form of cultivation guidance and supplying agro-inputs to villages in four regions of Banten Province. This support is formalized through a memorandum of understanding between Pupuk Indonesia and four regencies in Banten Province, namely the local governments of Tangerang, Lebak, Serang, and Pandeglang, on Wednesday, June 25, 2025.
Jaksa Garda Desa is a program initiated by the Deputy Attorney General for Intelligence (Jamintel) at the Attorney General’s Office. One of its strategic points is to encourage village governments (Pemdes) to empower local land and Village-Owned Enterprises (BUMDes) in achieving national food self-sufficiency.
Director of Operations at Pupuk Indonesia, Dwi Satriyo Annurogo, expressed appreciation for the Jaksa Garda Desa program. He emphasized that Pupuk Indonesia is committed to supporting the success of this program through agricultural guidance and fertilizer provision.
“Pupuk Indonesia possesses agricultural technology and products that can serve as solutions to improve agricultural productivity. Together with our subsidiaries, we are ready to support increased agricultural productivity through the Jaksa Garda Desa program,” said Dwi Satriyo.
Dwi Satriyo added that this collaboration with Jamintel to optimize land for agriculture is not the first of its kind for Pupuk Indonesia. In addition to the Jaksa Garda Desa program, Pupuk Indonesia also supports the "Jaksa Mandiri Pangan" program, which utilizes land assets confiscated from corruption cases to achieve food self-sufficiency.
“Pupuk Indonesia is ready to collaborate with various stakeholders, including Jamintel, to support the government’s goal of achieving national food self-sufficiency, as envisioned by the President of the Republic of Indonesia, Mr. Prabowo Subianto, in the Asta Cita,” he asserted.
Meanwhile, the Minister of Villages, Development of Disadvantaged Regions, and Transmigration (Mendes PDTT), Yandri Susanto, who was present in Sarakan Village, also expressed his appreciation, noting that this program can accelerate the achievement of two goals from the Asta Cita: building from the villages to ensure economic equity and poverty eradication, and achieving food self-sufficiency.
“We are ready to synergize. This program’s launch in Banten is essentially a declaration that can be replicated in other regions across Indonesia, starting from Tangerang Regency,” said Minister Yandri.
At the same event, Deputy Attorney General for Intelligence Reda Manthovani explained that the program in the four regions of Banten Province is a pilot project. It will be implemented in villages throughout Indonesia to support the national food self-sufficiency program.
“This is the initial launch, and we will then move to other provinces. Next will be Bangka Belitung, West Java, depending on each region’s readiness — particularly the readiness of village officials. The target for 2025 is for the entire country to have the same system,” said Jamintel.
